Sublime

The painted sunset made everything more magical as I followed behind my date – James. I had been waiting all month for him to ask me to the Memorial Day Carnival. Hand in hand we weaved through the crowds toward my favorite ride – the Swing Spin.

As we strapped in my heart raced as James flashed me an excited, infectious smile. The ride took off and as it gain momentum the pink tinted sky became streaks of paint as we twirled around.

James laughter chimed in my ears. It was a beautiful 30 seconds and as our fingers re-intwined afterwards I knew this was going to be a sublime summer.
