How to Get Through All Four Parks in One Weekend

Want to do a Disney Weekend and hit all the parks? Here is how I have accomplished this in the past. You can change or modify the itinerary as needed. All opening, closing, and event times are subject to change due to season and days. Please make sure you check your times and such through the My Disney Experience App.

Also make sure you pack what you need! Check out Disney Day Essentials Post from Last Week!

Before the Weekend

  1. Determine if Friday will be a full day or a half day, going there after school.
  2. Determine what parks you want to do on which day.
    • EXTRA TIP: YOU NEED A FULL DAY FOR MAGIC KINGDOM AND EPCOT (unless you don’t want to walk around the world showcase with little ones).
    • MY SUGGESTIONS:
      • FULL DAY FRIDAY: Friday–Animal Kingdom (Morning/Early Afternoon) & Hollywood Studios (Mid-afternoon/Evening). Saturday–Magic Kingdom. Sunday–Epcot.
      • HALF-DAY FRIDAY: Friday–Hollywood Studios. Saturday–Animal Kingdom (Morning) & Epcot (Afternoon/Evening). Sunday–Magic Kingdom.
  3. Once you choose which days, buy your tickets/hopper tickets through your My Disney Experience App.
  4. Then set up your FastPass+
    • You can only set up 3 passes a day at only ONE park, so on your doubled up days you need to choose the rides you want to ride the most!
      • Here are my suggestions depending on your park choices:
        1. Hollywood Studios: Toy Story Mania/Rockin Roller Coaster (both are on the same tier so you can only do one or the other); Star Tours; & Hollywood Tower Hotel
        2. Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain/Seven Dwarf Mine Ride (both are on the same tier so you can only do one or the other); Toy Story Mania; and either Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean.
        3. Epcot: Soarin’/Test Track (both are on the same tier so you can only do one or the other), Spaceship Earth, & Mission:Space.
        4. Animal Kingdom: AVATAR Flight of Passage/Na’vi River Journey  (both are on the same tier so you can only do one or the other); It’s Tough to be a Bug; & Expedition Everest.
  5. If you want to dine at any restaurants that would require a reservation, make those reservations ahead of time.
    • Suggestions:
      • Magic Kingdom: Be Our Guest
      • Hollywood Studios: 50s Primetime Diner
      • Animal Kingdom: Rainforest Cafe
      • Epcot: Chefs de France; La Hacienda de San Angel

(Rest of this post will be based on Half-Day Friday-Sunday Weekend for working/school families)

Friday:

Arrival at Disney World: Hollywood Studios @ 4pm:

  1. Try and make your first Fastpass+ within the first 30 minutes of being there.
  2. Make time in-between your Fastpasses to enjoy another live show available at the park such as Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast, or Little Mermaid.
  3. Also right now there are many Star Wars events and shows taking place in front of the Chinese Theater replica, while they are in construction for Star Wars Land (Coming in 2019).
  4. Dinner around 5:30pm–Dinner Dining Suggestions
    • 50s Primetime Diner (Reservation suggested) ($$)
    • Sci-Fi Drive In (Reservation suggested) ($$)
    • Food Marketplace next to Tower of Terror ($)
    • ABC Commissary ($)
    • Backlot Express ($)
  5. Character Photo Ops
    • Star Wars Launch Bay: Kylo Ren; BB-8; Storm Troopers; and Chewbacca
    • Frozen Sing-a-Long: Olaf
    • Disney Junior Characters such as Doc McStuffins & others.
    • Pixar Place: Cruz Ramirez
    • Mickey & Minnie
  6. Fantasmic! Fireworks Show @ 7pm
  7. Star Wars: A Galatic Spectacular @ 8pm

Saturday:

Arrival at Animal Kingdom 30 minutes before open @ 9am

  1. If you have Fastpasses plan accordingly to take in other rides and shows, especially the new Pandora World where Camp Mickey and Minnie used to be.
  2. Either Eat Lunch at Animal Kingdom and I would suggest Rainforest Cafe or eat at Epcot.
    • If eating at Animal Kingdom I would go put your name in around 11:30am and be on a bus on the way to Epcot around 1pm.
    • If eating at Epcot leave Animal Kingdom around 11:30pm on a bus.

Arrive at Epcot between 1-1:30pm.

  1. If you need to eat lunch I would suggest The Electric Umbrella ($) or The Land ($). Both are great for dinner as well or the quick service food places around the different countries.
  2. I would have your Fastpasses right next to each other in times so you have enough times for the World Showcase. I suggest doing your fastpasses and rides first and then spend the rest of the time going around to the different countries of the World Showcase.
  3. World Showcase Must Sees
    • Canada— Waterfall PhotoSpot toward the back of the country.
    • United Kingdom — British Revolution Band in the Courtyard
    • France — Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie (Bakery)
    • Morocco — Shops around Morocco
    • Japan — Matsuriza Show
    • China — Jeweled Dragon Acrobats
    • Norway — Frozen Ever After
    • Mexico — Mexico Folk Art Gallery & Shops
  4. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth Firework Show @ 9pm

Sunday

Arrival at Magic Kingdom Entrance Gate 30 minutes before opening for the opening Morning Show. (Park Opens at 9am)

  1. First Thing First: Walk onto Main Street, USA and bask in the glory of Cinderella’s Castle.
  2. Need your morning coffee? Go to Main Street Bakery to get your Starbucks Fix.
  3. After waking up I suggest to get your PhotoPass picture in front of the Castle before you start running around and getting sweaty.
  4. Shows to See
    • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire @ Cinderella’s Castle (Times Vary)
    • Cosmic Dance Party (Tomorrowland)
    • Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial (Adventureland)
  5. Ashley’s Suggested Magic Kingdom Path of the Day
    • Main Street, USA
      • Picture and Bakery
      • Also go Meet Tinkerbell and Mickey at the Theater
    • Tomorrowland
      • Start with Space Mountain
      • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and also you have a chance to meet Buzz himself!
      • Monster Laugh Floor
      • Take a Break and go on People Mover
      • Hit up either Stitch ride or Carousel of Progress
    • Fantasyland
      • Hit Seven Dwarfs Mine Train first
      • Then go Under the Sea with Ariel & Friends
    • Lunchtime
      • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe (Between Fantasy & Tomorrowland) ($) or
      • Be Our Guest ($$) (Reservation Suggested)
    • Fantasyland Cont.
      • Go to Mickey’s PhilarMagic Show while you let your stomaches settle
      • If you have littles go to Peter Pan’s Flight (But you will need a fastpass+ because this one will ALWAYS have an hour long line or more.)
      • If you can stand it go to Small World…. :/  but I would rather go to the Fantasy Hall to meet some Princesses
    • Liberty Square/Frontierland
      • Start with Haunted Mansion
      • Head over to Thunder Mountain
      • If it is warm enough and don’t mind getting pretty wet go to Splash Mountain…good luck.
      • If you like exploring “caves” and “tunnels” go across the river to Tom Sawyer’s Island.
    • Adventureland
      • Pirates of the Caribbean and make sure you watch Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial right outside of the ride. It is a great show!
      • Make sure you stop by Jungle Cruise before walking through Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
      • Also, if you want to see an original show, check out Tiki Room, but it is not high on the list.
    • Dinner
      • Backtrack back to Columbia Harbour House ($) in Liberty Square or
      • If you like spicy food check out Paso Bill’s ($) in Frontierland.
    • Evening
      • Go back and hit rides you might have missed or want to do again.
      • Also this is a great time to hit up some of the Character Spots you missed.
      • Make sure you get a great spot for the new fireworks show though!
    • Happily Ever After
      • The New Fireworks Show @ 8pm

There are so much more you can do at the parks and depending on your speed you might need to cut out some of the rides I suggested. Modify it to your needs.

Have a Magical Time,

AshleyDannie
